ShemriAPP 9:32 PM After slipping into the dream world and waiting for his companions to do the same, Sheikah sits up straight upon an hourglass full of tiny tektites and addresses them. "All right, we need to find the kid and see what nightmares the Fear is putting them through. It's a pity we didn't have a chance to mark the kid, but finding a Fear that big shouldn't be too hard. Just remember, we're not here to confront the Fear, just spy on it. Remember to keep hidden."

With that, Sheikah jumps over to a nearby floating tea table...and upon landing noisily upsets a tin plate of banana jelly. "Guh, lousy dream world," he hisses, wiping jelly off his whiskers. ^>.<^;

(OOC: Let's all /roll for searching while trying to remain unobtrusive ourselves. You can pose whatever crazy dream-world stuff you like about how your search goes, and I'll try to come up with a cumulative result on my next pose.)

KitoAPP 5:39 AM (Damn! Well hopefully Tipper does better! :sweat_smile: )

Kito focused his mind and joined Sheikah once more in the world of Dreams. He agreed with Sheikah and went in another direction to begin the search, as he dashes away, the environment around the fox changed, suddenly Kito found himself running along a massive tree, it wriggled and bent as if it were a snake moving through the grass.

When Kito gazed ahead of the tree, trying to spot what would be the top of it, the world's perspective changed and Kito now found himself falling back down the tree, as if they were running directly upwards in the first place. Quick on their paws, Kito used his magic more naturally in this world. The ice becoming a ledge on the tree to keep Kito standing, as he gazed out to the otherworldly surroundings the fox scouted what he could from the height he was at.

TipperAPP 10:59 PM "I prefer the real world to this place..." Tipper shook her paw on to clear it of some oil she stepped in. She gave it a sniff and perked up a bit. Smelled nice, at least, but she had no interest in eating it at the moment. She carefully tip toed through the jelly, shaking her paw after each step until she was clear of the plate of it and walked along a table. In the meantime, she tried to focus her ears to see if she could pick up on anything. "The Fear had some sort of weird scar on it, didn't it?" She asked.

ShemriAPP 9:50 PM Sheikah snorts. "More than a scar, it practically was missing a quarter of its head. Not that it would affect the Fear, and I certainly hope it's an exaggeration of what happened to the actual two-legs."

Just then there is a faint wail that Tipper could pick up on. Passing the general direction from which the sound came on to Kito allows him to spot something from his perch: a patch of darkness. Not an ordinary sort of darkness, resulting from the strongest light source in the vicinity being blocked, but a darkness that has its own existence, like a little black sun on the dreamscape. "That's probably our target," Sheikah says, hopping off the table and heading through some tall red grass. "Let's move."

KitoAPP 5:14 PM Leaping from his view, Kito catches up to the others before adding his own input, "I don't know what this could be, but I don't like it... Do you think the Fears are gathering in one place?" He asks with a worrysome tone as he dashes through the dream world, taking in the obscure and unreal characteristics.

TipperAPP 7:41 PM Tipper's ears twitched as they rolled around, connecting with the source of the sound she heard. "How will we know for certain when we see?" Tipper inquired as she bounded off after them. "Are the damages to fears always a reflection of what happens to the person or thing or is it something else?" She asked, bobbing along in the grass, popping up every so often when she felt she's run into something undesirable. The dreamscape was just weird at times.

ShemriAPP 7:35 PM Sheikah weaves through the grass. "They could be gathering I suppose, but in my experience they're generally not very...cooperative in nature. They just go after something that can feed them with no regard for whether others like them get anything. And no, a Fear's shape doesn't reflect reality, it reflects what their host is afraid of. Usually they'll instinctively inflate themselves or add things like extra claws and horns to become scarier, but in this case...well, I just hope that gouge came more from the kid's imagination than anything they actually saw." :/

And then, as though they've been there for a little while already without noticing, the group is within the darkness. Sheikah crouches and flattens his ears, hoping the others will be smart enough to lay low too. An ominous presence can be felt overhead, not visible or identifiable as being in any particular location, but giving off a sort of burbling pressure. It grows stronger for a moment, then seems to fade a bit with distance.

A scene of sorts begins to play out nearby, like a small section of stage under a cold pale-blue spotlight in an otherwise pitch-black theater. A group of Hylians run along through rocky terrain, all looking quite desperate. Despite the ground flying by beneath them, there is no sensation of forward motion; the world is fixed in that monochrome circle, objects coming into being at one end and being swallowed by the darkness at the other. The snarls of wolfos not too far behind provide an explanation for their flight. One woman in particular is doggedly dragging a boy of about five along, despite how it inexorably pulls her to the rear of the company.

Suddenly the ground gives way to a thick log that's been sawed lengthwise to form a bridge over a small chasm. As the caravan rushes to get across before the snapping jaws of the wolfos catch up, nobody notices the woman slip on the slick wood...except, of course, for the boy she was pulling. She lets go just before falling, her head striking the edge of the log hard on her way to tumbling over the side.

The next thing the shocked boy knows, he's being tossed by a Gerudo into the arms of a random man, and the group rushes onward while the Gerudo makes a stand on the log. Either the boy can't say anything or the others simply can't hear him in the stampede, and he's carried away as the scene blurs into unrecognizability...

...then resolves back into the start again.

TipperAPP 11:53 PM The moments go by as they head through the grass and next thing Tipper knows, they're heading straight into darkness. The transition from land to this thicket of shadow was jarring and gave her pause for a brief moment before she carefully padded along, tail low, ears back, body nearly to the ground. Their progress finds them viewing a scene and one most unfortunate. A caravan of fleeing people being attacked by wolfos loses one of their own and the one to witness the horrific event is the child who was spared from the fate of the woman by her hand instinctively slipping from his. "How do we deal with a Fear like that?" She asked quietly, her voice barely registering, but in her company, she's certain it's been heard.

KitoAPP 12:06 PM His ears twitch, picking up what Tipper was saying, but Kito could only give his opinion quietly and keep low, "I don't know myself, but at least we have some more information to work with.." Kito gazed around to make sure the three of them were ok.

ShemriAPP 11:16 PM Sheikah's tail curls slowly back and forth as he watches the repeating scene. "The child can't get past this because he doesn't know what happened," he mutters. "He keeps going over it again and again to try to see it, but he can't bring up what he never saw...and the Fear keeps torturing him with the worst thing he can imagine." Sheikah turns and creeps back the way they came. "What he needs is to find out the truth...for better or for worse. Come on, let's get out of here."

And so they weave back through the darkness...stealthily moving toward the more friendly, or at least non-malevolent, part of the dreamscape...

...until they come across the scene again. ^o.o^;

If it was easy to wake up from a nightmare, people wouldn't stay in them for very long.

(OOC: I frankly don't know myself how we're going to get out of the Lost Woods nightmare, I just couldn't pass up the story. X) Feel free to roll any abilities you think might be useful here and/or make suggestions for how we can escape.)

KitoAPP 3:40 PM "Drat! Are we stuck in this child's nightmare?.. How can we escape?" He spoke aloud to himself before realising that they were still near danger and trapped within the darkness.

Looking towards Tipper and Sheikah, Kito could only ponder what they could do within this horror. Kito then tried making a suggestion. "Hm... Can we somehow change this nightmare? Maybe stop this memory that they are trapped in?"

TipperAPP 7:33 PM "I think we need to give him some comfort. Just a little. I've done that often with people I've run into and traveled with. Someitmes, all they need in a hard time is a companion and maybe we can interfere in just the right way to make him feel safe." Tipper swished her tail back and forth thoughtfully.

"Hey, Sheikah. You spend a lot more time than I do in here, but I've had my turn of getting my fur mussed. How much can we interfere here? I don't know if it's possible, but if we can somehow place ourselves into that memory or maybe do something here that can reflect in that memory, we might be able to give him a little peace and maybe make that Fear weaker."

ShemriAPP 11:03 PM Sheikah winces as his companions raise their voices. ^>.o^; But their words prove worthwhile. "That might work!" Sheikah hisses. "This is the boy's nightmare, not ours! If we can get him to wake up -- " But of course that's not going to be easy. The vague aura of oppression in the area starts gathering into a palpable force and materializes as the mutilated woman silhouette. +.+ Somehow its presence is distinguishable from the darkness all around even though if you had to say what color it is, the best you could say is black; it's a black that goes beyond mere lack of light, a burning void in the dreamscape. "I'll keep it busy," Sheikah mutters. "You two do whatever you can to wake up the kid."

Sheikah suddenly sprints forward at the Fear. Surprised by the abrupt aggression, the Fear awkwardly but powerfully swings an arm down to smash the approaching cat. Sheikah has already changed trajectory, darting about around the monster. Fortunately, his black fur really is married to the darkness, making him only a pair of glowing golden eyes that blink in an out of view as he chooses to look toward the Fear or not. He evades the Fear's attacks for the time being, drawing it slightly away from the others.

Meanwhile, the scene from the child's memory is once again approaching the small chasm with the log overpass and the tiny waterfall trickling from the rock face on the right...

ShemriAPP 10:55 PM (OOC: Sheikah pokes folk here. ^c.c^)

Fallon:fireball: 4:50 AM (OOC: Shucks. Lol. Gettin' right on this.)

TipperAPP 6:32 AM "That means we need to give him the right kind of jolt!" Tipper chimed. Granted, she didn't want to frighten the boy, but they did need to get him awake. There was more than one way to do that other than adding to the worries he had. It's quite possible they could subvert it and give him a positive jolt. She wonders if she can find some Octoroks in here, somewhere? Time to give this place another listen and see if she can pick up on something!

However, Tipper does hear something that most would miss: a faint groaning from down in the little chasm while the refugees flee toward safety.)

Fallon:fireball: 12:32 AM (OOC: I can work with that! :D)

TipperAPP 6:31 PM Tipper does pick up on something, but she isn't certain of what it is. It sounds strange, much like many other things around here, but strange can sometimes be good as she's experienced before. So, she zips off to take and look and possibly make her way down into the chasm the sound originates from.

ShemriAPP 8:03 PM As Tipper approaches the scene playing out, it seems to become oddly stretched and out of proportion, as if it's merely a projection on some immaterial canvas and she's coming up to it from an angle. In fact, when she reaches the chasm, she cannot fall into it, nor even see into it any further than before. It is, after all, the memory of the boy, and consists of what he saw, from where he saw it. She does hear that odd sound a bit more clearly here, though, not as though she's actually closer, but as though that part of the scene has been put into focus and all other sounds are dampened. It's a faint groaning from down below, probably that of a human female.

Sheikah continues distracting the Fear. It swipes at the little black shadow every time he shows an eye or scrapes the ground. Sheikah is very good at this sort of diversionary tactic, but he can't hope to keep it up forever. A finger that's sharp for no other reason than being fearsome tags Sheikah's earlobe on a near dodge, leaving a small nick. ^>.<^;

Meanwhile, Tipper's presence in the middle of the scene seems to be having a bit of a destabilizing effect. It's not uncommon for non-sequiturs to show up in dreams, but they do force the mind to address them on some level, which distracts from whatever else it might be trying to do. The scene wavers and bulges around her. When Kito starts running through the area as well, that's even more diverting, as he presents a moving object that's difficult to ignore. And since he tries to interfere with the all-important moment when the woman falls, well...

Suddenly there is a peculiar sensation as though all of space pulls in on itself and turns inside out. #fwoop#

Sheikah jerks up his head and shakes it briskly, immediately regretting the instinctive action for the sting it gives to the very real cut in his ear-lobe. ^~.o^; "Phew, he must've woken up," he yawns, uncurling from the barrel top where he was napping and doing that back-arching stretch all cats are known for. "Tipper, Kito, are you awake?"

KitoAPP 1:27 PM Stretching out and yawning Kito mumbles to Sheikah, "..y-yeah yeah.. I am. Just a bit exhausted from the Dreamworld. So we know what happened now with that Fear. Kind of a terrible fate to happen to them." He sounds saddened by their discovery, but pushed on. Kito jumps up a barrel and then to a window, he looks out onto the Gerudo he can see and wonders if they all have their trauma. How many fears would that make? It was a scary thought to the fox!

TipperAPP 5:55 PM Tipper took a little longer to come out of her state after enduring that strange sensation and warp. So focused was she on the sound in particular that when she was snapped out of the dream, she was shaken up by it. "I think I may have found something!" She stood up, her hair standing on end, though she did what she could to shake off the jittery feeling she had and allow her fur to lay back in calm. A bit easier said than done.

"How long ago did this happen?"

ShemriAPP 9:08 PM Sheikah turns his head to Tipper. "It's hard to say. Refugees have been arriving in groups for a good while now. It could've been a week ago or yesterday." Sheikah tilts his head. "You're thinking the two-legs that fell could still be alive? That would be the best scenario, obviously for her, but also for the boy. Seeing her alive would probably take away most of the Fear's strength."

Sheikah looks out the window with Tipper. "Now the question is, how can we rescue her, or at least recover the body? I know the spot where she fell, it's just before the great bridge on the way through the valley. I don't know how we could get her out, though. Do you think we should try on our own, or see if we can get a two-legs to follow us there?"

TipperAPP 11:14 PM "A two legs would be our best bet. If we can get one or two of them to follow us then maybe we can see if she's still alive or not. It's probably the least we could do," she considered. "And if it helps to remove these Fears, then all the more better! Going into that realm really ruffles up my fur."

KitoAPP 5:56 AM "Maybe it sounds like a bad idea Sheikah, but what is important to these two legs here? If I steal something, they are going to notice a white animal stealing and should follow us then right?" Kito pondered, he was never the kind of being to steal, especially when on the mountains, hikers and adventurers would offer food and such to himself.

"If there is something precious enough to steal and you guide the way, we can lead them right to the body before abandoning the stolen goods." He spoke with some certainty as he paced around in a circle, trying to stretch his real body unlike the dream world.

ShemriAPP 9:13 PM Sheikah gives a thoughtful nod. "That could work, but it's risky," he muses. "The red-maned ones around here are well-trained, and a lot of them wouldn't hesitate to stab a fox that snatched something from them. Or from one of their sisters, for that matter. You could end up dodging blades and arrows all the way out of the fortress." :/ Sheikah paces thoughtfully. "Grabbing something from one of the refugees would probably be safer, the red-manes won't be as eager to help them out. Most of them didn't bring much besides the clothes on their backs, though. Hmmm..."

Just then a flute melody starts up nearby. A cheshire grin spreads across Sheikah's face. 83 "Aha. Perfect timing." Sheikah creeps to the doorway of the store-room and peers around the corner, gesturing with his tail for the other to do the same. Sitting cross-legged on the floor at the end of the hallway is a tousle-haired Hylian with a red bandanna, tootling away on his pipe. "There's your mark," Sheikah murmurs. "He wouldn't hurt a daisy."

ShemriAPP 7:05 PM (OOC: pokes folk)

Fallon:fireball: 1:12 AM (OOC: Oh, sheep! I've left this for so long! I'm sorry! >.<)

TipperAPP 1:16 AM Tipper came padding along the way, peering around the doorway of the store-room to see the guy sitting there. She perked up and immediately went in, nudging her head up against his leg before rubbing the rest of her body along. She sat down on the ground before him, staring up at him expectantly, tail swishing back and forth slowly along the ground.

ShemriAPP 6:54 PM (OOC: That's okay, Aubrey's not very good at not being stolen from. ;9 )

KitoAPP 7:00 PM The Fox smirked and locked his eyes on the target, the Hylian boy and his pipe. All Kito had to do was take it and get some attention right? Well, it would be good.. had Kito not fumbled about like an out of control Bombchu. Kito dashed for the pipe but his legs couldn't keep up with what Kito wanted, he tripped and flipped next to the boy, even with Tipper distracting him it was obvious Kito was there. Kito still tried to snatch the pipe right out of his hands, his fangs bite down missing the pipe and crunching the poor boy's hand. Flustered and embarrassed Kito yelped out with great column before dashing off out of sight.

ShemriAPP 9:26 PM (OOC: Quick note, getting 2 actually isn't that bad, even though it's on the low end of what you potentially could've done. The Cat game manual says 2 evens is enough to accomplish a medium-difficulty task.)

ShemriAPP 9:50 PM Some days the funniest things happen. Aubrey was just trying to sit down in an out-of-the-way spot in the crowded fortress and spend a little time practicing his craft, and out of nowhere he finds himself bitten by a rare white fox. o.O; "Ouch!" The flute clatters on the stone floor as Aubrey stares after the retreating critter. C.C What was that all about?

Sheikah's ears flatten in the feline equivalent of a face-palm. X/ "Must be a feral thing, getting jittery around two-legs," he mutters. "Come on, we can salvage this." Sheikah darts out into the passage and grabs the flute from where it lies, then scampers after Kito. More concerned by this than the nip on his hand, Aubrey stumbles to his feet. "Wha!? Sheikah!? Come back here with that, my friends gave me that!" D8 As Aubrey chases after the animals, the reaction from onlookers is fortunately chuckles instead of cutlery missiles. They generally like the skinny bard around here, but they don't mind having a laugh at his expense rather than helping him retrieve his property. ;9

(OOC: Kinda forgot to incorporate Tipper's actions in there, my apologies. e.e; )

Fallon:fireball: 12:02 AM (OOC: All good. Lol. She'll be alright! :D)

TipperAPP 12:06 AM Tipper wasn't...expecting that. She thought she had it all plotted out. Using the old trick of false affection and yet, here comes a fox that flies past her and the bard, almost in a strange slow motion fashion. She watched his attempt with dilated eyes and ears pulled back as it all fumbled and led to Kito's crashing. Shock wasn't even the half of what she felt, but it was replaced with terrible attempts at trying to hold back laughter. Sheikah's quick thinking got her back on track and she followed after all of them to run off with the prized possession. Not her style of doing things, but it worked!

With the three of them drawing his attention, she figures they'll get some help in no time! She hopes that lady is still alright!

KitoAPP 9:42 AM The Fox continued to run until he could sense Sheikah running behind him, slowing down he could see that they had the flute. At least someone could save the ppan from Kito's mistake.

His voice stuttered with embarrassment, "I-I.. I'm sorry! I.. I thought it had it... I think I just got ahead of myself!" He wimpered as he ran close to Sheikah and Tipper, who had just caught up. "At least we got the flute! And that two legs attention now.." Kito couldn't get over what he had done, it should have been easy.

ShemriAPP 7:33 PM Sheikah slows up a bit as the others fall into formation around him and they run out of the fortress toward the bridge. "'S'alright," Sheikah mutters around the flute. "Now we just have to hope he keeps chasing us until -- "

Suddenly Sheikah feels hands dart under his furry chest and lift him upward. ^o.O^; He forgot, Aubrey might not be an aggressive sort, but he is pretty quick for a two-legs. Fortunately, Sheikah manages to drop the flute before Aubrey can shift his hands to take it. "Grab it and keep going!" Sheikah yowls, squirming out of Aubrey's grip (which isn't too hard since the flute is what Aubrey's really after).

TipperAPP 9:42 PM Tipper grinned. "It's alright, things like that happen all the time. Two legs get amused and continue on with their life. That there is a man that was jumped by three different animals and not one two leg questioned why," she snickered. "Now that we got the flute, hopefully, we'll get to the lady!" Her statement is punctuated by the drop of a flute. As she peeks at her side, there's a distinct absence of Shekah there. "What happened to--Oh," he was caught! She laughed as she batted the flute as far as she could and zipped to catch up with it, grabbing it in her mouth. "Got it!" She chimed, running along to draw him closer to the woman. The bridge was near!

KitoAPP 9:43 AM The Fox keeps up with Tipper, she managed to grab the flute again thanks to Sheikah's quick thinking. Kito glanced back at Aubrey, making sure they were still chasing them.

The path from the fortress was winding and downhill to the bridge, the heat could be felt against his paw pads, as he claws up the sand and earth running from the two legs. "Nearly there! Let's hope that we can lead him right to where that dream.. memory things was!"

ShemriAPP 7:16 PM Aubrey splutters as Sheikah kicks out of his arms and races away again. "What on earth has gotten into these critters?!" o.O; It still hasn't quite occurred to him to wonder if there really is a reason for their behavior, he's just using the question to express his confusion. But they still have his flute, so he keeps chasing them -- past the bemused bridge guards, over the long trail of wooden slats, and up to the little chasm with the log overpass.

And this is where the objective of their quest lies. Down in the pool at the chasm's bottom is a soggy form, easy to miss in the shadows if you aren't looking for it. The woman's eyes stare blankly up toward the sky. Her mouth and nose are above the waterline thanks to a rock supporting her head, but she doesn't seem able to move or even make much noise.

Better figure out the next move quick, because Aubrey is attempting another grab at the flute! >.<;

TipperAPP 9:07 PM Tipper was scrambling to get away from Aubrey. This guy was fast! Jumping up onto the nearby posts, she took a giant leap to try and distance herself and put her closer to the log overpass. Once she reached there, the image of the woman startles her into dropping the flute and having it roll close to the edge of the overpass. "Oh no!" She didn't want it to fall in, but at the same time, its current perch might draw some attention to the woman.

KitoAPP 7:02 AM Following close Kito tried to get in between Aubrey's legs, to trip him up or at least throw him off to make sure Tipper and Sheikah had some time to get ready, they had to make sure that the woman would be seen!

Especially when the power of the shadow was so overwhelming the other night, Kito gave off a cold aura, his white fur standing on edge as the fox tried to tap into this power of his.

ShemriAPP 9:51 PM Aubrey slows up a bit when Kito darts around his feet, dancing to avoid any accidents. "Hey, watch it! I might step on you!" c.C; Man, these animals are crazy!

Sheikah pads onto the log toward the teetering flute. "Don't worry, getting wet probably won't hurt it," he remarks. "In fact..." >:3

As Aubrey reaches the log, he sees Sheikah toying with the cylindrical object, rolling it back and forth with bats of his paws. o.o Aubrey creeps along the log, trying to get within grabbing range without startling the cat. Just before he gets close enough, Sheikah turns his head and gives him one of those blank cat stares. ^o.o^ Then he casually nudges the flute over the edge. kerplunk

With an aggravated sigh, Aubrey resigns himself to getting a bit wet. -.-; He hops down into the chasm with a splash, then grabs the instrument and shoves it into his belt. Whew, finally...now to get ba -- Aubrey startles. o.O; "Wha!? Who..." Aubrey sloshes closer to the soggy form in the shadows. "...Dear Farore..." Aubrey fishes Nayru's Honor from his belt pouch and crouches down to apply some healing magic. The woman's eyes focus and she takes in a deep breath, then looks around dazedly. Aubrey helps her sit up and sets her back against the chasm wall. "Just a moment, we'll get you out of here soon!" Aubrey hauls himself up to the lip of the chasm and waves frantically to the bridge guards. "HEY, THERE'S SOMEBODY DOWN HERE WHO'S HURT!!! WE NEED HELP!!!"

ShemriAPP 9:33 PM (OOC: pokes folk.)

Fallon:fireball: 11:24 PM (OOC: Heck! Lol.)

SpoofAPP 3:02 AM The guards don't readily respond to Aubrey, but as he draws closer, his actions become more apparent and they brace themselves to face off against whatever he's warning them against. One of them is sent away from the gate along with a few more to follow after him. Once near enough, they hear him indicating someone has been hurt and fear it may be one of their own. They do go out in hunting parties from time to time and Hyrule is not the same as it once was. The field and other areas have changed drastically.

They follow him back to where he'd come from, taking note of the body that had fallen into the crevice. Immediately, one of them calls out, "Form a chain! We need to lift the body! Careful, now! We don't want to cause anymore damage. Aubrey, send for a healer, please," was requested from the guards. "We'll take care of everything from here. Hopefully, we haven't lost her. You said she was hurt. Let's hope it remains that way until she recovers."

GERUDO VALLEY

ShemriAPP 9:32 PM After slipping into the dream world and waiting for his companions to do the same, Sheikah sits up straight upon an hourglass full of tiny tektites and addresses them. "All right, we need to find the kid and see what nightmares the Fear is putting them through. It's a pity we didn't have a chance to mark the kid, but finding a Fear that big shouldn't be too hard. Just remember, we're not here to confront the Fear, just spy on it. Remember to keep hidden."

With that, Sheikah jumps over to a nearby floating tea table...and upon landing noisily upsets a tin plate of banana jelly. "Guh, lousy dream world," he hisses, wiping jelly off his whiskers. ^>.<^;

And so they weave back through the darkness...stealthily moving toward the more friendly, or at least non-malevolent, part of the dreamscape...

...until they come across the scene again. ^o.o^;

TipperAPP 6:31 PM Tipper does pick up on something, but she isn't certain of what it is. It sounds strange, much like many other things around here, but strange can sometimes be good as she's experienced before. So, she zips off to take and look and possibly make her way down into the chasm the sound originates from.

Kito did his best, trying to think of a way to change the nightmare enough for the boy, but the only thing that came to mind was trying to chase after the boy and the woman and make sure the woman doesn't fall this time.

Sheikah continues distracting the Fear. It swipes at the little black shadow every time he shows an eye or scrapes the ground. Sheikah is very good at this sort of diversionary tactic, but he can't hope to keep it up forever. A finger that's sharp for no other reason than being fearsome tags Sheikah's earlobe on a near dodge, leaving a small nick. ^>.<^;

They generally like the skinny bard around here, but they don't mind having a laugh at his expense rather than helping him retrieve his property. ;9

Better figure out the next move quick, because Aubrey is attempting another grab at the flute! >.<;
