DEATH MOUNTAIN

Link (posed by Irina)APP 7:04 PM Link sits at the water’s edge below the western face of the mountain. The sun will be rising soon and the frogs are still croaking in the distance.

RevaliAPP 2:17 PM Revali flies in with Irina, swooping in and gently setting Irina on the ground before setting off a soft gale and landing down beside her, smiling softly. "We're here!" He exclaims.

Link:fireball: 11:34 PM Link watches Revali and Irina swoop. He approaches them cautiously, looking around. “I can sense their energy here but haven’t found anything yet.”

ZeldaAPP 12:43 PM Zelda maintained a stoic expression. Powers like these gathered here were certain to draw attention in some form, but she can't say she could afford to be overly cautious at this point. "We will soon be drawn together and in this time, the Triforce will be unified into a common goal. I can't tell if this was always intended or if this is some divine prank, but it appears to be the only option left."

If it wasn't for the fact this was an active volcano, it'd be terribly nippy up here. Gathering a few dry materials, she decides to light up a small camp fire to use as a guiding light. There is life up here, but to the undiscerning, nothing worth looking into.

Irina:snowflake: 10:48 AM Irina is not used to flying yet, regardless of how much she enjoys it. After landing with an uneasy face, she smiles to Revali as a sign of appreciation and walks with him closer to Link, nodding at his statement and looking around. Whom she did not expect to see, at least yet, was the princess. Unaware of whether the royal has seen her, the barmaid bows her head respectfully and helps gather materials for the campfire.

GanondorfAPP 4:55 AM "You have returned."

The booming, gravelly voice of Dragmire is unmistakably ominous. Though it's difficult to place exactly where it's from at first, the King of Evil emerges from a nearby cave that burrows deep into the western side of the mountain. With each step he takes, the chnk in his armour rattles. The light from the camp fire that Zelda had setup catches the edges of his flaming hair, making them almost glow on their own accord. The wind catches his dark velvet cloak, billowing it behind him dramatically.

"...and you are not Zora. Heh. Heh." There's a quiet snicker of amusement.

A glance goes to Zelda, where his gaze lingers for a moment. It's quite a different expression he gives to Irina and Revali shortly afterwards. They are given an almost-scowl, as if they are commoners in the presence of something far, far greater than themselves. :watermelon: 2

ZeldaAPP 1:44 AM "It was out of necessity. Had Hyrule not needed me at this moment I would have just as much stepped aside and let it prosper without me if it would have helped," Zelda remarked stoically to Ganondorf.

A glance slips Irina's and Revali's way along with a nod of recognition. Link's presence had already been felt and she acknowledges him much the same way.

"Now that we are gathered here, we must do what we have been brought here to do." She turned to face all those that had gathered. "But I am not beyond courtesy. I imagine we are hungry. I have only a few items gathered to cook with, but it should be enough to feed us all."

She did include Ganondorf in this.

Link:fireball: 12:41 AM Link emerges from the heavy shadows that obscured his countenance. As the light of hyrule shines upon him his skin is revealed to still be pale blue and scaley. He is unmistakably still a Zora in this light.

His eyes shift between the princess and the… prince. He approaches them and for a brief moment Gandorf’s words ring true. Anybody watching would have seen the human hylian appearing for a fleeting moment, long hair fluttering in the wind. Nevertheless, the curse reappears just as quickly as it faded and the Zora’s shiney scales illuminate the daylight.

“Together, we can restore balance to the Triforce. I am glad the two of you appear to be unscathed as of yet.”

Irina:snowflake: 1:25 PM Irina was helping the princess when she heard the sound of Ganondorf's armor as he walked. Even though this is a familiar sound to her, it is also unexpected. She immediately stood up, although any further action was stopped by Zelda's and Link's lack of response.

Without taking her eyes away from the Gerudo, the barmaid moves next to Revali. Her spear is held tight in her hands, not in a threatening way but ready to fight anytime if needed be.

GanondorfAPP 5:47 AM "Hyrule needs you at this moment, and you think of food?" Ganondorf's mouth twists into a wry smile as he chuckles lowly. "Priorities. Eat if you want. You will need your strength for what comes next."

Link's bizarre curse and how it appears unsettled earns a fraction of ire - represented by a hard scowl that narrows his expression. "You cannot even restore balance to yourself, boy. You expect to fight against the Gods? Restore balance to this world and restore it to what it was?" There's another brief look of assessment to Irina and Revali, especially towards that spear which the ex-barmaid wields.

"What do you two have planned?" He addresses the other wielders of the Triforce. "What have your searches found?"

ZeldaAPP 9:19 PM "Of course. We need strength and energy for what I suspect will be a heavy toll on us. Granted, /some/ of us need sustenance other than power," Zelda smirked at her own return fire. "I was scathed in some form, even now it still haunts me how it happened," she circles around the fire, offering a nod to Irina and Revali in silent greeting for the time being. "The triforce was only recently acquired and now needed. It still feels foreign, though we are well acquainted," she sighed.

"This flood was brought upon us as a means to protect Hyrule from further consequence. It will take ages before the water recedes. What we will need to do is push Hyrule forward in time. As of yet, I have not found anything to assist with that. I was busy recovering from an unfortunate circumstance..." Her eyes locked onto Ganondorf briefly before shifting to Irina and Revali.

"I have some food I've managed to gather. Fish and salts. The sea is plentiful in both, but my skills say otherwise," she chuckles while skewering the fish and seasoning them.

RevaliAPP 11:48 AM When the Demon king appears, Revali instantly pulls for his bow and an ice arrow, drawing it back but not aiming it for the time being. He was staying ready. He looks over toward Irina and frowns, before looking back over the rest of the group.

Link:fireball: 7:35 PM Link eyes the skewered fish uneasily. The scales above his brow glisten in the sunlight as he frowns in response to Ganondorf’s crude mockery; nevertheless, he remains composed and walks over to Irina and points her spear downward. As he does this he coincidentally approaches the other two triforce holders, no more than a few yards away, and a palpable force resonates between the unlikely trio. Taking a step closer, some strange magic becomes visible and all that is visible becomes hazy for a moment like a cloud of sheikah smoke, but then dissipates just as quickly as it appeared. Link is now in human form, covered in a thin shroud. He retorts, “Perhaps you were the missing pieces of the puzzle.”

He looks down at his now human hands and then takes a few steps back. In an instant he is returns to Zora form.

ZeldaAPP 2:20 AM Zelda's natural response is to briefly touch her hands together upon feeling the power flowing between the three of them. She refocuses back on her task of cooking the fish, but there is momentary discomfort. "I do believe that is the case, but it appears we have a greater problem on our hands." She lifts her hand to indicate to Revali to stand down. She doesn't disagree with his response, but even the suggestion of firing upon Ganondorf was dangerous.

"You can't maintain your form," she pointed out the obvious towards Link. "What has happened to you?"

GanondorfAPP 3:50 AM "Tch." That's all Zelda gets when she mentions her unfortunate circumstance. "Your idea is to bring Hyrule forward through time? With all of its citizens in tact? That would be quite the feat." The palpable force that resonates between the trio isn't something unexpected, but something that causes a brow to arch. Link's inability to transform gets a head tilt, his yellow eyes glancing towards Zelda as she asks her question towards the Hero of Time. "The magic of time is as complex as it is vast. Where do you plan on searching for the capabilities to bring everyone forward?"

"Boy, if I wanted it, you would already be be dead. Or worse." Dragmire growls with some amusement towards Revali.

RevaliAPP 12:02 PM When Zelda indicates he should stand down, he undraws his arrow and slips it back into his quiver before hanging his bow over his shoulder. When the Gerudo king speaks to him, however, his feathers slightly raise, though whether in fear or in irritation was not known. He crosses his wings and turns his head to the side, pouting for the moment. He knew anything he would normally say here would just get him in trouble.

Irina:snowflake: 1:38 PM Irina lowers her spear following Link’s directions. She seems relieved at Revali’s reaction and touches her friend’s wing in support, knowing how hard it must be for the proud Rito to contain himself. She stays quiet, not interrupting the trio. She’s not even sure she should be here but tries to be ready for anything that might happen, standing next to Revali and keeping an eye on the Gerudo king.

Link:fireball: 7:23 PM Link very slowly moves back towards the unlikely princess and the king of the Gerudos. He closes his eyes and focuses his energy, this time remaining in his fish form but letting the energy flow towards the other holders of the triforce. All three hands begin to glow and the fire cooking the skewered fish begins to flicker, parts of its flesh burning. He says in a soft voice, “Take my energy if it will help you.”

ZeldaAPP 1:31 AM "It would be, yes. I do not think it impossible, however. We often forget the power the Triforce carries. I can't accomplish this on my own," Zelda lifted up her own hand. "But it can be accomplished with all of us gathered here. I do think we all tire of being in a world of endless water. This is not what Hyrule should be. This land is a consequence, a reaction to a fate thought worse." Lowering it, she turned out towards the ocean. "And Hyrule cannot thrive in this state. Not in the way it was intended to. It is representative of the very element of imbalance and it must be brought back, no, pushed forward beyond this."

She faced the group once again. "Three triforce wielders can accomplish this goal. However, we may need something to fine tune our power. Objects directly connected to the stream of time can be a a focus for us. To ensure that we have greater control over the outcome. Who better to know about time than the Sheikah?"

Ganondorf APP 4:43 AM "There is the wisdom of Nayru." Dragmire drawls with a grunting effort. "I... agree." The words are said with some reluctance, but there is no doubting Zelda in times like these. "Control over an effort like this is paramount. Should anything go awry, all could be lost." And Ganondorf has no desire to rule over a land that is lost.

Turning a touch to regard Link as he channels some of his magical energy, the King waves a hand to dismiss him. "Not yet." Yellow eyes flicker back to Zelda. "The Sheikah... may be of use to us in this situation, yes. Presuming that many remain after this flood. There are also the timeshift stones. I had one, but... I broke it." His devilish grin returns. "But the Sheikah may know of something similar, or even know where to find more. They may prove to be solid anchors. Otherwise, I will defer to their expertise."

Link

fireball: 6:07 PM

Link relaxes and opens his eyes to look at and listen to Dragmire. He contemplates his words and then replies, “I think you may be right. Magic manifests in this land when it is needed. Our power is great together but we need something to focus it and prevent it from becoming chaos. I have heard stories about how chaos has taken form in distant lands and the outcome was never good.” He looks to Zelda and asks, “Your highness, are you able to contact the Sheikah?”

Zelda APP 1:46 PM "I should hope that they do remain. They are part of our hope, yes, but not our only one. Link is correct in saying magic manifests here when it is needed. Should the Sheikah not be capable, the land certainly will be. It hosts all of us and provides, being the very result of the goddesses hands." Zelda walked over to the edge. "This is the highest point within the land, but we will need to go to one of the lowest." She gestured towards Lake Hylia, where the upwelling of the water still persisted. "We need to head to Lake Hylia where this all began and end the terrible storm and surge that has flooded this land. I will work on contacting the Sheikah. As for the rest of you, I encourage you to head towards the lake and assess its conditions. We will need to know exactly what we will be contending with if we hope to enter into its midst and quell it."

Ganondorf APP 4:13 AM "Then it is settled." Ganondorf glowers, rubbing his chin with a thoughtful motion. "We are to meet at the source. After you get what you need from the Sheikah, bring it there." His piercing gaze locks onto Zelda for a moment, seemingly having little hesitation in ordering the Princess. "Unlike this meeting, your allies are welcome. Who knows? They might even surprise with a splurge of knowledge that may give us an edge."

It's possible that the King has other reasons for wanting his enemies all gathered at such a turbulent place, but an alliance forged under circumstances such as this was never going to be perfect.

"Do not be late." With a flick of his wrist and a turn, Dragmire strides into a suddenly-formed portal of purple and black energy. It crackles with magically fuelled lightning not long after he passes through, before it shrinks and vanishes. Just like that, the King of the Gerudo is gone.

Link

fireball: 5:22 PM

Link observes the dark sorcerer fade into his portal. He wishes he had an easy shortcut to traverse the land, but alas he is limited to land and the vast sea. “Princess, shall I accompany you?” He offers himself as an escort to the great lake of Hyrule.

Zelda APP 8:53 PM Zelda watched Ganondorf take his leave and all she could muster was an exasperated sigh. She comes out of her thoughts long enough to focus on Link and smiles. "You may. We still do have to resolve your current situation, after all. In fact, we canot head to the lake immediately, but we will be there when the time calls for it. I still need to contact the Sheikah. Additionally, it may be in our best interests to gather others. I may have convinced Ganondorf to work with us, but I doubt he wishes to join our cause," she chuckled.

"We will need all the help we can receive in order to restore Hyrule. We should probably start with this mountain. The Gorons have been our allies for as long as I can remember and I imagine Darunia would be more than happy to have these waters recede. I am not certain how well the Zora are taking it, but I have high hopes that Mipha will partner with us and see these waters depart. From here, I can see the Great Deku Tree, so I am more than certain the Kokiri are safe, but still..." She turns away and proceeds to walk down the path. "Our time here is finished."

Irina

snowflake: 7:38 AM

Irina remains quiet. Her tension fades slightly when the Gerudo king leaves, but she does not bring her guard down yet. While the Princess discusses next steps with Link, she keeps an eye out in case Ganondorf decides to come back or send a surprise attack. Who knows whether he is really is working with them or not…?

After the Princess starts to walk away, she gives her and Link some time to gain distance, gives her surroundings one last look, and finally takes a silent breath. The barmaid gives Revali a half smile, guessing this meeting with their enemy went as well as it could have.

Now they needs to decide how they would be most useful, and she is not about to interrupt the Triforce wielders to ask. Regardless of where they should go, it will certainly not be on top of this mountain, so she starts to make her way back down after adjusting her bag, spear, and bow across her shoulder.
