DEATH MOUNTAIN

John It's a few hours after the end of the Battle of Death Mountain, and the sun is rising on the slopes. The odd little party which John is part of has been winding its way in a general upwards direction, hitting the hot spots noted on Itami's map and collecting relevant resources. Scruvo, as expected, has been acting as aerial scout, although that's getting tougher for him as the air gets thinner at higher elevations -- guay are built for forest and plains habitation, after all.

At a sort of natural fork caused by a high ridge, John is searching some rubble for valuable minerals when Scruvo returns from checking the left-hand route. "Welcome back," John says as the guay lands on his shoulder. "What'd you find out?" Scruvo takes a moment to catch his breath, then points a wing to the right. "Found out...we should head that-a-way." John furrows his brow. "What? How do you know when you were checking out the other way?" Scruvo gestures back to the left. "Because THAT way...there's a blinkin' behemoth. Some sorta giant horse-man-lion wotsit, wi' a club biggah than Mizz Tika theah." :P (edited)

Shura shuras brow razed at the birds last few words not really paying mutch attention to the plans they had about ether direction untill that point. his right arm shifting into his gi like shirt producing the bounty page once his hand was removed sadly his own backwards on the other side of it falling out to his unwilling self. holding the page out to the other showing the silver lynel indeed with a club "something like this im asumeing"

Tika Tika, riding on horse back with Lude peeks over at Shura's bounty page.

"You intend to hunt a lynel? Brave."

Tika is aware of how powerful those creatures are and honestly she wants to see how strong he is, he has to be pretty strong to be wanted by his kingdom.

Netri Netri perks up. "A lyno!?!" First chuchu jellies now Lynos! Today is her favourite day ever!!

"I wanna come see the Lyno! I beat a Lyno all by myself once! It's true!"

She did not in fact beat a Lyno all by herself

She did fight a Lynel though.

Sayah Sayah, riding Ponyo and holding Netri in her arms says.

"Wouldn't you rather help me find a fairy fountain? Besides you've been up all night, aren't you sleepy?"

NetriAPP 6:10 PM "No"

"Knights don't sleep. Ever!"

Lude Lude ruffles Netri's hair. "That's not true. Knights sleep all the time, in fact knight do all of their growing asleep. Strong knights get a full nights sleep every night."

"As for you Shura, do you intend to face this Lynel? I will accompany you if you need, it's only fair after you lent your aid in the shadow temple not long ago."

John John glances at the drawing. "Looks fierce. Well, if Lude's offering to help as thanks for the Shadow Temple expedition, I can hardly do less, can I?" Scruvo looks rapidly between those gathered. <.< >.> "Oi, you lot ain't seriously thinkin' about fightin' it, are ya? I'm tellin' ya, it could knock y'bonce off wi' a flick of its wrist! I ain't jokin' about 'ow big its club is!" "Sure you aren't," John chuckles, heading up the mountain to the left. "Just like you weren't joking about that pack of wolfos you outsmarted that kept getting more numerous the longer the tale went on." ;) "That wos -- this is different! I ain't even tellin' a story heah!" D8

(OOC: We should probably discuss a bit beforehand what sort of outcomes we expect from this scene. John doesn't know what he's getting into IC, but we're talking about a SILVER. LYNEL. The tier-4 version of the most dangerous mini-boss in BotW. By that game's mechanics, not only is it able to smack about half of a full-hearted, well-armored Link's health off with one blow, it typically wears out a few good weapons before it runs out of health itself. Thankfully we typically don't worry about weapon breakage on here, and lynels were a lot less tough in the older Zelda games, although you could argue those were the red and blue (tiers 1 and 2) variations. But yeah, my suspension of disbelief would be seriously stretched if we all came through this unscathed.)

Lude (Ooc i was thinking we'd find more inventive ways to fight it tbh, bomb flowers, arrows, probably magic i didn't assume we'd fight it head on)

aubrey (OOC: Your turn @Shura.)

Sayah "Don't suppose you found any caves around when you were scouting?"

Elder Sayah asks Scruvo

John (OOC: @dontdi, I hate to do this when the main point of the scene was to give you your shot at a silver lynel, but the show must go on. X) )

Scruvo eagerly latches onto the potential distraction. "O-oh yeah, I think I saw a cave a liddle ways down th'mountain from where th'big beastie wos. If y'slip down thataways, y'might be able t'sneak past it." n.n; "Or they could investigate that while we're keeping the lynel busy," John notes. "Although we should probably send at least one competent, ah, grown-up fighter with them, caves can be dangerous too. Lude I imagine, seeing as you're related and all." Scruvo throws up his wings. "WOT!? Now y'talkin' about facin' it wi' LESS people!? Y'got a death wish now that you've finished y'quest?!" o.O;

aubrey (OOC: ...No idea how @Shura in the above post ended up as 'dontdi'. And /edit won't let me change it because it thinks my last pose was the one in #lon_lon_ranch).

Shura shura chuckled at the birds actions laughing from his belly as it was low he slapped his knee " i was originaly planning on takeing it on myself are they really that strong of a monster? " shura however couldent hide the smile he had if he tryed his eyes lighting up alittle as if slightly glowing " as for a death wish im a walking dead man already my wish is indeed for it to end in a worthy battle ! its my lands belief that we rest better when we die in the heat of battle! " he said with some fervor behind his words he wasent used to talking so exciteingly about something was he crazy though alone a silver lynel who the hell did he think he was " if anything i just wish to test its strength agesnt mine if anyone does wish to assist me we can look for the cave or convine there after whoever comes with me?"

Lude (OOC cant pose as other characters rn for some reason. This is Tika)

Tika "Ah so Okay, to get to the cave we need to get past the Lynel... the...silver Lynel... hmmm...."

Tika shoves her hands into her hair, thinking.

"Is it too late to go back to the boat?"

(As sayah)

/p sayah "Much too late i'm afraid, besides it should be fine, i'm here, there's also these skilled fighters and our bull here, we'll wait for them to distract him with a fight and then slip in easy"

"Will you be coming with us Lude? Into the cave i mean, your friends might need all the help they could get with the Lynel you know."

Lude nods.

"I agree I don't feel comfortable with my friends taking on a lynel alone i feel as though i should stick with them."

"So gents." Lude crosses his arms

"How do we plan on fighting a Silver Lynel anyway?"

Lude scans the area.

"I suppose we could use bombs? There's bomb flowers all over this mountain, John could probably get a better vantage point and use his bow? I'm open to ideas right now."

(Netri)

/p Netri Netri crosses her arms and pouts.

"I bet i could fight a lyno and win all by myself, just me and my fluffy boy."

Netri gives Ponyo's head a hug.

(Sayah)

/p Sayah I'm sure about that! But then who would guide us through the cave? I'm just an old woman you know and Tika's no fighter. We'd be totally defenseless in there without you Netri!"

Sayah smiles at the girl

(Netri)

Netri perks up at this, newfound reponsibility! A mission!

"I'LL DO IT!" Netri salutes grandmom and is visibly pleased to have official knight duties.

"You guys fight your stupid Lyno i have to protect grandmom!"

Netri is beaming

"OH AND TIKA TOO!"

Netri pats Tika's hand, she doesn't want Tika to think she forgot about her.

aubrey John shrugs. "If you're confident they'll be safe enough in the cave without you, that's your call. Just keep waaaaay back if you run into any big lizards in there, they breathe fire." John heads further up the path, sticking to the wall. "Ranged attacks sounds like a good idea to me. I'll try to get above it and then wait for you to start the fight, then we'll all throw whatever we've got at it." "Seriously, this is gonna end in tears, an' that's if there's any of us left t'cry!" Scruvo hisses, for once lowering his voice as they draw closer to the monster's territory. >_>;

Meanwhile, the lynel in question stands near the far edge of the plateau that is its territory, gazing out down the slope of the mountain. Who can say what goes through the mind of one of these creatures? Certainly they must have some form of intelligence, or they wouldn't wield weapons as they do. For that matter, wouldn't they have to know how to forge them as well? Maybe not, if they're magically-produced -- the weapons could be called into being along with the creatures themselves, formed to suit them almost like a part of their body. But whatever the case, if there have been any cases of lynel's intelligence leading them to coexist peacefully with more civilized races, they aren't widely publicized. c.c The few reports from survivors of encounters seem to be of being savagely and unprovokedly attacked upon being first detected.

John makes his way along the other edge of the plateau, heading quietly for the wall at its back. He's seen the lynel, but with significant distance between them and no easily recognizable objects providing a point of reference, he hasn't fully grasped how massive the monster is. John finds a vertical cleft in the rock face and wedges himself into it, using the friction to work upward. Scruvo is perched back at the edge of the plateau, watching the proceedings with a wary eye. >_> And it seems he's right to be worried, because when John is about two-thirds of the way up to the next standable surface, a small stone is dislodged by his climb and skitters downward. The lynel's ears twitch, then it turns around and starts walking over to investigate the disturbance within its domain. +.+

Shura " if your thinking of using bombs flowers ? then i guess i will face the lynel head on in this fight and try and keep it focused on only me do what you must " shura smile brightened was there a few screws loose with this one guy he was actuly looking forward to fight this dangerous beast head on and as stuch he traveled up to the plateau climbing slow and carefully. each small step and climbing motion was delibrerate to alow the others to get in better advantagous positions waiting for a signal the lynal move away from th edge where shura was so climbing and johns stone plummeting dident help much so shura kept still till he was given word*

Lude "Okay i'll climb up the mountain a bit to look for bomb flowers, there should be some close."

Lude follows John up until he finds a bomb flower right before the vertical cleft, he intended to stay and wait until every one was ready, but unfortunately for him a rock is dislodged and falls at his feet.

The lynel approaches the location of the noise and a panicked Lude chucks a bomb at it.

BOOOM!!!! The bomb explodes in the Lynel's face!

Seemingly unaffected the Lynel roars!

"Oh. Oh no."

Cold sweat runs down Lude's neck

aubrey John almost falls when the bomb goes off. *_*; Here he's thinking he's being stealthy and getting to a good position for an ambush, and the action's already started in a big way. The lynel hefts its club and gallops at the most obvious transgressor, that being Lude. It makes a giant golf swing at the puny Hylian in passing. John, unable to draw his weapons in the confines of the cleft and figuring he no longer has time to finish climbing, clambers back down as quickly as he can manage. @~@ He's gotta do something to help out, right?

Gatu @Fallon (Will here work?)

Fallon (Yup. There's a scene running here, of course, so we'll have to see about how to integrate properly.)

Gatu @Fallon (Alright, how do we do that?)

Artifa The echo of the bomb carried down the path and rolled past the two travelers. At this distance, it was faint, but distinct. "There seems to be activity up the way," Artifa pointed out. She moved closer to a nearby wall and pressed her hand against it, attempting to discern the vibrations. "It's mild and difficult to say. Could be a mining operation going on. It isn't uncommon for bomb flowers to be utilized for that sort of thing."

Shura shuras eyes lit up as he took the bomb as the signal to start his attack however seeing insted theuh m.m beast chargeing at lude oh no! he growled alittle being thrown alitle of gaurd. now charging at the lynel himself blade being drawn only partly his masumane being drawn first attempting to slam down his blade to collide with the lynals blade to alow lude to get away from it (edited)

Gatu "True. But what if something's going on up there? We need to get closer and see what's going on." Gatu said. "Let's go and check it out."

Drawing his sword out of its scabbard with a SHING and his Hylian Shield off his back, Gatu advances forwards to investigate.

@Fallon

Artifa "Do you feel the need to look into everything that happens?" Artifa called out after Gatu, walking along in a more leisurely pace. Whatever she intended to take place here, it's getting diverted very quickly. "I suppose I did assign myself to this..." She muttered to herself, drawing out a sickle blade. "Have you recovered any since we left those creatures behind?"

Gatu "No, not exactly. Is it wrong to not be curious though? Besides: what if someone's in trouble and needs help?""But yeah, I feel better now after leaving that cavern system. I need to figure out how to clear out those critters though, or it'll make things really difficult to get in and out of Kakariko since the only other way out is through that water barrier at the front of the village." Gatu says as he jogs forwards towards whatever is going on up here on this area of Death Mountain.

Lude Tell me if i'm reading this correct.

5 was john's attack roll

12 was the lynel's defence roll

And 6 was the fireball?

aubrey Yes. Ordinarily the lynel's defence would have involved 2 rolls, but since the first one was already over what it needed to reach, I didn't bother with an ability roll.

John Well, I guess if Link can stop a Lynel's attack with a well-timed shield deflect, then in theory Shura's katana can have enough effect on a club dozens of times its mass (similarly swung by a beast dozens of times Shura's mass) to divert it from its target. e.ea It should take a lot of such miracles to take this thing down, though.

John reaches the plateau and orients himself toward their quarry. Wow, that thing looks a LOT bigger up close. @~@; Not knowing what else to do, John draws his bow and fires off a haphazard arrow. It bounces off the silver lynel's shoulder without even drawing blood. Ohhhhhcrud.

Realizing that it's being assaulted by multiple attackers (although so far none of them appear a significant threat), the lynel jumps back a bit. It inhales deeply, then spews several fireballs -- one each at Shura, Lude, and John.

aubrey (OOC: Since I'm probably the only one using the ASCRS here, I'll just note for interpretation that that result was toward the low end of what the lynel could've rolled, and wouldn't be insurmountable for our characters...though far from a guaranteed defense. I'd expect John to have slightly over 50% chance of avoiding without using special techniques. Do with it what you will.) (edited)

aubrey (OOC: You do a new base roll for every individual action. I should probably handle that part as the scene-runner. Are you sure Lude would only be a level 5 character with Rank 1 Swordsmanship, though? John has Rank 2 just from being a soldier, and I'd think Lude would be a bit higher as a knight from an aristocratic family. Here's my notes on character stats in this scene, might be useful for reference:)

John Level 5 soldier (base roll 1d10) Current Damage: 0 Current Awesome-Sauce: 7 Rank 2 Swordplay (1d4) Rank 1 Archery (1d2) Rank 1 Stealth and dagger use (1d2) Rank 3 Observation and reasoning (1d6)

aubrey

I could give some suggestions. Being a trained Sheikah, Artifa would probably be pretty high-level, I would say at least level 6, more likely 7 or 8 (Daray's an 8, for reference, although he was something of a prodigy even within the clan). For abilities, she'd probably have something like Stealth (Rank 3 at least), whatever martial arts and weaponry proficiencies Artifa has (Daray has Kama Rank 3, Senbon Rank 3, and Kenpo Rank 3), something representing her historian/researcher capabilities, and whatever else you can think of.
Fallon
Sweetness!
Fallon
Awright, I think I can jump in here now. Got something of a list drafted up.

Lude Lude takes a defensive stance and with his shield, blocks the fireball.

Sensing that the Lynel may have not been expecting Lude to withstand the fireball he charges at it hoping to catch it off guard but unfortunately, the Lynel despite its largeness is nimble enough to dodge Lude's swings.

Shura ((ooc thank you lol was haveing a hard time))

Fallon ((Going to go ahead and get started on my lil integration here.))

Zelda The noise of battle is not hard to miss. Given what Hyrule has been through in times past, it may even be second nature to listen for those things. The clanging weapons and stomping of hooves draws more than enough attention. Add in the occasional roar and light from the flame and it becomes abundantly clear what the source is. Zelda tenses as she proceeds down the mountain, coming up on the portion of the path with the disturbance and witnesses the ongoing fight between the silver lynel and combatants here.

"We should see to it that this creature is vanquished. Quickly." The gentleness in her voice was replaced with a stern, commanding tone. One meant to lead to victory. She draws her bow and proceeds to take aim. With her shot lined up, there is a brief flash of light and soon a streak flying through the air to strike the silver lynel.

Shura thankfully asura was not blown back by the lynels furryous fireball dashing and rolling enough to the side to not get hit by it groaning as he would reach into his pocket in his shirts inner lineing pulling out small shards of metal looking like spikes tossing them down in the path of the lynel seeing at the same time a bliskng light strikeing the beast glad to not be hit by it*

aubrey (OOC: Well, seems like using the ASCRS would make this scene drag on for quite a while, so let's wing it the rest of the way. At least that one round demonstrated that taking on a silver lynel is serious business. ;) For what it's worth, I'd expect both Link and Zelda to be level 10 characters, so having them on our side definitely tilts things heavily in our favor, although there'd still be the potential for somebody to get seriously injured. Speaking of which, I guess I never rolled John's defense against the fireballs, so lets find out if he gets maimed. X) Base roll...)

/roll 1d10

Dicebot @aubrey rolled 10 Dice 1d10 Rolls 10

aubrey (OOC: That's plenty on its own, guess I get to pose John doing something cool. ;) )

John John sees the fireballs being meted out and thinks quickly as his roars in. Turning around, he jumps at the cliff face he just clambered down from and then kicks off it. John clears the fireball with a backwards somersault and lands in a crouch, slightly baked but unharmed. Phew! >.>;

John pivots around again to find chaos erupting around the lynel. Lude is swinging his sword at it, somebody just threw a knife that went BOOM somehow, and Shura is apparently gambling on the hope that lynels don't have horseshoes by throwing out some metal bits as a trap. Nothing seems to get past the monster's defenses, though -- until a brilliant shaft streaks down from above and bites into the lynel's chest. The beast roars in anguish, momentarily paralyzed by the electrifying surge of the light arrow. Well, if that's not the best opportunity they could hope for, John doesn't know what is! He nocks another arrow to his bow and takes aim at the lynel's flank, hoping to cripple it further. It might not be much compared to a magic-imbued divine bolt, but every little bit helps, right? TWHIP

aubrey (OOC: @Lude’s turn BTW.)

Lude Lude recognizes the flash of light, a flash seen many a time symbolizing the start of a tournament, or end of a royal ceremony the princess? Here?!?

Lude takes advantage of the Lynel's momentary paralysis to climb onto it and plunges his sword deep into its back.

Gatu Gatu rushes up Death Mountain full sprint, hopping from rock to ledge, and finds himself confronted by a Lynel. He draws his sword, soon shining with light and crackling with energy. He runs in and attacks the Lynel, slashing into its chest in a diagonal downward right slash before doing a backflip to jump back to give himself some room.

He goes a bit wide eye, finding himself in the presence of Princess Zelda soon after he attacks. It has been some time since the two of them last spoke, and he had some words for her, and watches her fire a Light Arrow into it. (edited)

Shura with the suddon flash of zeldas light arrow shura took note of its energy that note was to stay away from it and or dont get shot by one makeing a dash out of the clear area where his own caltrops were jumping up and at the lynel and slashing into the beasts gut

Fallon (Posting as Zelda): Zelda prepared for another shot, but she hesitated. Not out of fear, but observation. The beast was paralyzed and the combatants had converged on it, so she may not need to take a shot. Not at the moment, at least. So, she relieves what little pressure she placed on the bowstring and lowers it for now. This battle is theirs, but perhaps more importantly, it shows the people have gotten along fine without her presence. Perhaps there is something to that.

Gatu Gatu raises his sword, gripping it in both has as power electrifies throughout the blade, glowing with a sacred luster as its crackles and hums with energy. With a war cry, he jumped and brings the sword down in a vertical swing.

Should the Lynel try to block it with its weapon, the beast's weapon would shatter and Gatu's sword would slash into its head: making the final blow. The Lynel lets out a pained cry before it slumps on all fours: an incory blackness spreading all over it before it poofs in a dark purple mist that dissipates.

All that remains of the foul creature would be its gear that clatters to the ground. (edited)

With the beast defeated, Gatu twirls his blade and sheathes in in its scabbard: almost with a masterful elegance to it. He turns and looks over to Zelda, in which he quietly approaches the princess. "Princess Zelda. It is good to see you again. It has been some time."

John John starts nocking another arrow to string, although there are so many friendlies swarming the monster now he'd risk hitting one of them if he tried to shoot. o.o; This turns out to be a moot point, though, as the combined assaults finally bring the fell beast down. With the danger passed, the exhaustion from last night's battle comes crashing down on John, and his legs give out beneath him. "What was I thinking," he mutters, gazing dazedly. "Going on a monster hunt right after staying up all night fighting? And I didn't have a CLUE how dangerous that thing was going into this! I should've..." "Shoulda listened t'me?" Scruvo remarks, fluttering over from the edge of the plateau. "YES!" John groans, flopping onto his back. X( "That's practically the WORST part of it all!"

Never one to miss an opportunity, Scruvo looks over the newcomers to the scene and spots Artifa. "'Ello 'ello 'ello, fancy meetin' you heah, miss!" he chirps (as much as guay can chirp), swooping in the Sheikah's direction. "Shadow-Glide Scruvo, in case you've forgotten, we met up on that lizahd egg-gatherin' job. Bonzah of ya t'throw in y'help heah. I bet Johnny-boy'd like t'thank ya with a cozy dinnah." ;) Scruvo glances back at where John lays. "...Once 'e's back on his feet, that is." n.n;

Shura shura however smiled cloecting his iron shards with a conveinint magnetic rock he had stored with them not haveing notced however the lynels purple mist seemed to be drawn in and obsorbed by the long blade he still had drawn slowly sheathing it once all hia shards were picked up laughing hartly to himself " that beast was a wonderfull opponent "

Artifa "Shadow-Glide Scruvo. I couldn't recall being on that gathering job, but it is a nice refresher. I assisted where I felt it necessary, is all. I wouldn't mind a dinner, truthfully speaking. I think after this battle, we likely all need something to eat. Perhaps we should see to the village down the path to see if they have something for us?" Artifa questioned. Truly, some food would be nice right about now.

"It would be wise to gather its remains. They do fetch a nice price if you go to the right people," she called out to the group. She had no particular use for them now, but she could stand to share the spoils before claiming anything. Returning her attention to Scruvo, she continued, "If we are to dine, we will have to do so soon."

Gatu Gatu gathers up the Lynel's treasures, weapons, and anything else it dropped: shoving it in his Inventory. "Good idea Artifa. I'll need the money to buy some supplies before going to the Crater. While I am wearing this Goron Tunic, it's never too bad to make sure to be prepared." he said, walking up to them and their aqquantance.

"It seems you and this 'Shadow-Glide Scruvo have some history. After battling that Lynel, I worked up a good sweat and am a good bit hungry, but that beast will most likely be nothing compared to what we might find in the Crater, Artifa."

"If I may, I would like to join you two for some dinner if that is alright. My Mom taught me quite a few recipes that I'm sure you both will enjoy, if you'll have me." Gatu continued with a small smile. "I'm just glad we came by when we did Artifa. The fight might've gotten ugly had Princess Zelda not also arrived and weakened it with one of her arrows the way she did."

"But anyways... Will you and your friend have me, Artifa? With the path ahead cleared of the Lynel, we can return tomorrow after breakfast and getting supplies that should help us out in the crater."

Lude The battle being over, Lude retrieves his blade from the Lynel's back, cleans it and sheaths it.

Dismounting the Lynel he meets the new members.

"You have my thanks for your help, we may have met before i think, on the houseboat." he says to Gatu. "Lude of noble house Rugo, knight in service of Hyrule, what remains anyway."

He extends a hand out toward Gatu. "Glad to see you safe.." he says to Artifa.

Netri gasp "Sheikah lady!"

John Scruvo eyes Gatu indignantly. "Oi, just a flippin' wingbeat! Wheah do you get off, buttin' in on Johnny-boy's date!? An' who said you should take all th'loot!? Y'come in aftah everybody else risks their necks an' think ya got dibs?!" >_<; John sits up with a sigh. "I don't claim a share, all I did was blow the element of surprise. Scruvo's right about splitting it fairly, though. If you ask me, the lynel's share -- heh, ironic phrase in this situation -- oughta go to whoever shot that magic arrow. That's what turned things around." John gets up and starts heading back down the mountain. "Thought you were exploring the cave," he mutters to Netri in passing.

Gatu "I didn't say I was going to be taking all the money." Gatu said, turning to look at the others here who fought the Lynel. "I'll sell the parts to whoever will take them, and split the amount of rupees it's all worth between all of us."

Netri Netri, Tika and Sayah are sitting on a blanket and were apparently having a picnic and watching the fight.

She finishes her tiny sandwich

"hee!"

Zelda Zelda places her bow away and takes a relieved breath. It was clear the battle here was a hard fought one, if the scorch markes and broken ground were of any indication. Now she could head down the path and grow better acquainted with the group gathered here. She glances at Gatu with a knowing gaze, but does not indicate much more in passing. "I am glad some can still glory in battle. Healthily, at least," Zelda remarked to Shura. "You all did a wonderful job, if a bit...unconventional," she mused. "I believe you all would have taken down the beast without my help. My arrow was but one part of the fight. It could be said it wouldn't have been as effective without the help of others. I prefer that notion," she added towards Gatu.

"Sir Rugo," she nodded to Lude. "I had intentions on making a request, but I think it can wait untl you all are properly rested," she announced towards the rest of the group. "Well, most of you," she noted Netri, Tika and Sayah seemed to be doing fine. "Let's hope that there are still accommodations available down the path."

Gatu Gatu turns around and walks up to the Princess herself, in which he bows to her, showing curtesy to the royal family. "Princess Zelda. It is nice to see you. It feel like much time has passed since I last saw you when we battled alongside each other at the shores of Zora's Domain."

Apon Gatu having gotten in proximity of Princess Zelda, a yellow glow was coming from underneath his bandage covered left hand, since he scrapped his left hand's palm a bit deeply when he was down in the tunnels with Artifa when leaving Kakariko Village. He didn't have time to call upon Majora's magic to heal it, so he just quickly grabbed some bandages out of his inventory and wrapped it all up while he was running with her from the creature infesting down there...

Zelda Gatu's greeting is nearly missed as her Triforce resonated with his hand. Zelda frowned, "Yes, I recall..." she spoke somewhat distractedly. "You appear to be worse for wear. I think it best that we head down the path and talk then. You and the others here are in need of rest."

Gatu Gatu listens to what her majesty said before he turns his head and looks to the top of Death Mountain and its smoky ring dancing around it. He then turns his head to look back to her. "Understood, Princess." Gatu said, agreeing with her royal highness. "We can all to Kakariko and book some lodging at the Inn, or perhaps if anyone who has space and room to allow us shelter."

Gatu sheathes his sword back into his scabbard, as well as unequipped his Hylian Shield to rest with the sheathed sword on his back.

Zelda Zelda shook her head. "Kakariko is still hidden, as it should be. We must make lodgings where the people have gathered down the path. To disrupt Kakariko any further, I imagine, would not be in the interests of those still present in the village," she explained heading further down the path. Time to find a place to stay or perhaps, set up camp.

Gatu "You make some good points Princess Zelda... Very well." Gatu says. He motions for the others present to follow him and Zelda if they want. "Kakariko has been through a lot in a sense lately. They deserve time to recuperate and relax from the ordeals that have occurred lately."

Shura shura nodded softly to the princess as he was adressed still not knowing much about this lands princess or there customs "your arrow is something to fear as my blade warns me your magic is qwite powerfull Princess ....zelda was it ma-am" a slight shake to shuras blade is sturred up once he slightly moves closer to zelda the dark energys within the blade nervous at this interaction being so close to someone with that magic would cause alot of issues for the demon in shuras blade. his eyes darting to the odd glow gatu and zeldas hands both had looking at his own hands not seeing a glow walking silently with the group to kakarioko

Sayah "Don't suppose you found any caves around when you were scouting?"

Elder Sayah asks Scruvo

John Scruvo eagerly latches onto the potential distraction. "O-oh yeah, I think I saw a cave a liddle ways down th'mountain from where th'big beastie wos. If y'slip down thataways, y'might be able t'sneak past it." n.n; "Or they could investigate that while we're keeping the lynel busy," John notes. "Although we should probably send at least one competent, ah, grown-up fighter with them, caves can be dangerous too. Lude I imagine, seeing as you're related and all." Scruvo throws up his wings. "WOT!? Now y'talkin' about facin' it wi' LESS people!? Y'got a death wish now that you've finished y'quest?!" o.O;

:musical_note: Don't you know, you never split the party... :musical_note:

Netri pats Tika's hand, she doesn't want Tika to think she forgot about her.

aubrey John shrugs. "If you're confident they'll be safe enough in the cave without you, that's your call. Just keep waaaaay back if you run into any big lizards in there, they breathe fire." John heads further up the path, sticking to the wall. "Ranged attacks sounds like a good idea to me. I'll try to get above it and then wait for you to start the fight, then we'll all throw whatever we've got at it." "Seriously, this is gonna end in tears, an' that's if there's any of us left t'cry!" Scruvo hisses, for once lowering his voice as they draw closer to the monster's territory. >_>;

Lude Lude braces for the Lynel's impact, luckily due to Shura's fast action Lude is able to roll dodge at the last minute, Shura's attack knocking the Lynel just a little off balance.Lude picka himself off the ground and gives a thumbs up to Shura.

"Thanks."The plan seems to have changed now, there are more bomb flowers close but they need to wait a bit for them to be ready. He draws his sword and shield and prepares for battle, the element of surprise fully gone.

Artifa The burst of heat that pass over the trail told Artifa everything she needed to know. The mountain didn't suddenly go off, so it must be... "A lynel." Sigh. Well, they're in for the time of their lives. The lynel isn't the only one that can use fire. When she has a line of sight on the lynel, she flings a kunai out with a seal attached to catch fire once it struck. Unfortunately, the lynel managed to just barely slip by and avoided her attack. This...is going to be a painful encounter.

John John sees the fireballs being meted out and thinks quickly as his roars in. Turning around, he jumps at the cliff face he just clambered down from and then kicks off it. John clears the fireball with a backwards somersault and lands in a crouch, slightly baked but unharmed. Phew! >.>;

TWHIP

Never one to miss an opportunity, Scruvo looks over the newcomers to the scene and spots Artifa. "'Ello 'ello 'ello, fancy meetin' you heah, miss!" he chirps (as much as guay can chirp), swooping in the Sheikah's direction. "Shadow-Glide Scruvo, in case you've forgotten, we met up on that lizahd egg-gatherin' job. Bonzah of ya t'throw in y'help heah. I bet Johnny-boy'd like t'thank ya with a cozy dinnah." ;) Scruvo glances back at where John lays. "...Once 'e's back on his feet, that is." n.n;
